Samsung LNT4065F 40″ 1080p LCD HDTV

Recently purchased a new Samsung LNT4065F which replaces my old school Samsung RPTV and brings me into the 1080p world. I have a vista media center hooked up to it via HDMI and have been downloading and watching alot of HD content and it looks hella swank, quality is not exactly lossless 1080p (bluray,HDDVD) content but the quality difference is barely noticeable to the human eye. I have not yet succombed to the next generation DVD wars simply because to me its a moot point as downloadable content is the wildcard winner in this format war.Download speed and Storage space will continue to grow and with the help of some compression codecs and the advent of bittorrent, HD content is starting to become a more viable option for us intertube nerds. Its already at a point where you can download near DVD quality movies within an hours time the thought of being able to do so with HD content makes me giddy like a school girl. Most of the HD stuffs out there are in 720p format but still manage to fit on a standard DVD which takes advantage of an affordable pre existing infrastructure that is near and dear to everyone. So for those of you that have already started to pump money into upgrading your DVD collection your wasting  your money! I <3 my new TV

  • Whoa, that’s a sweet TV! You are king of the innernets. I still think that downloading music is revolutionary- haven’t even begun to think about movies and the like.
