So in the past couple weeks ive aquired some new phones. I picked up a refurb 8gb iphone from ATT for 249 ive always been iffy on it but the price point has kept me away until I got wind of the deal. Ive been a windows mobile guy for a couple years now and its been a love hate relationship glad to be free of it really. The iphone thus far has been everything I want in a phone (aside from 3g/flash/copy paste) The browser is perfect for on the go. The UI is fantastic and texting with the virtual keyboard is actually pretty sweet. Audio and video quality is nice and its all rolled into a sleek sexy form factor. Only thing that is somewhat dissapointing is the battery life not sure if its because its a refurb or just iphones in general. I get about 1 day out of it which is acceptable I just have to remember to charge it every night. Its on tmobile unlocked and jailbroken so third party apps are hella swank and I didnt have to change my plan. Onto the second new device for work just yesterday I received a blackberry curve now I really hate carrying two devices but I hate getting work calls on my personal phone alot more. It is leaps and bounds smaller then my old 7290 and makes carrying a second device around not so bad. Its kinda like a mullet scenario the iphone is the party in the back and the blackberry is the business in the front.  Now if I can get blackberry connect on the iphone I could get back to one device.

So if you havent read yet here is round 1 .I paid off my car a long ass time ago and saved up a decent amount of money. But alas I still had the itch to get a mini. For car enthusiasts they know that this is one of the best handling cars out there for the money. So being a crazy impulsive person that I am. I went and test drove one to see how they where and walked off the lot with a 2003 solid black mini cooper S. I love the shit out of this thing best car ive ever driven hands down. It is hyper blasting death rays into my soul at all times. Handles like a dream and is a tid bit faster then the GSR in its prime. I got a great deal on it so the payments are pretty much nothing. Its also way cheaper on insurance for some odd reason. The warranty just ended as its already 4 years old so I plan on adding some mods here soonish. I want to start off with a 15% Alta super charger pully which will add a decent amount of horsies right off the back for pennies. I also plan on getting a mechazoid vinyl sticker and slapping it somewheres on the mini. People either love it or hate it because its different small and deadly. I have been constantly thinking of excuses to go drive around in order to destroy the earth with supercharged laser blasters . So columbus keep an eye out for a solid black mini if you see one run for your gat damn life! USE YOUR CLOACKING DEVICE? HAHAHHAHA I DIDNT THINK SO.

Remeber when CG animated movies first started to trickle into mainstream cinema? Toy Story, Ants, Shrek etc the technology was fresh and new and was the hopefull future of animation and pixar was behind it all. Who needs hand drawn artists when we can do it all with a giant rendering farm in a data center in the middle of nowhere? Fast forward to today where just about every animated movie that hits the big screen is a CGI flick about some ghey ass animals doing “funny” things. Disney shot itslef in the balls with death rays when they decided to axe a large percentage of their animation staff in favor of CGI and Pixar studios. Now I do love CG when done right but I am not supportive of its monopolistic approach pwning pencil and paper into oblivion. Ghibli and Miyazaki know where its at and have stuck with the good ole hand drawn style creating lush environments and beautiful worlds that finely detailed characters roam in. Ghibli is the last samurai in an industrial nation so to speak. Theres something about pencil and paper that I just cant put my hand on that CG will never be able to replicate. Ira has been concvincing me recently on another area CG has nuked, mechanical special effects. She states that she misses good ole puppetry, costume and animatronic Jim Hensen type stuffs, CG has wrecked havoc in this area as well. Id like to see a new fantasy based movie using animatronics killer costumes and puppetry with a dash of modern tech. After watching the new TMNT movie I can only wish that they would have just went back into the turtle suits and beat the shit out of shredder one more time around. Atleast I still have anime as a saving grace. although alot of it is moving to CG they seem to be using techniques that create a more hand drawn look and feel such as cell shading and digital pen and paper touchups. I wish CG and handdrawn animation could live in a happy coexisting world and be BFFs and nix the highlander shit CG is currently pulling.
